Fire Safety Week

Last week we learned all about fire safety! We read a book called "Stop, Drop, and Roll" and discussed why we need to do this if our clothes catch on fire. We also talked about the importance of having working smoke detectors and a family meeting spot. Throughout the week we worked on a fun fire fighter project to display in the hallway. On Friday, the Hobart/Lawrence Fire Department made a visit to our classroom. They demonstrated what a fire fighter looks like and sounds like with all of their gear on so we know not to be scared!
